About the Campaign

At Sanders Corner Elementary School in Ashburn, VA, the program for teaching students with autism is heavily geared towards the use of visual cues. These colorful teaching tools aid the teachers tremendously in direct instruction and modeling appropriate behaviors and social interaction with their students. This requires many hours of color printing.

As a self-contained classroom that has its own curriculum, the teachers leading the program are in dire need of a dedicated laser jet color printer and funds to purchase color ink cartridges. Unfortunately, Sanders Corner Elementary School–as is generally true for each school in the Loudon County Public School system–only has one laser jet color printer in a common area of our building.

According to research, children learn better when teaching materials are printed in color. Please help the teachers of this program purchase a dedicated color laser jet printer, along with the funds to cover the cost of ink over the course of an academic year.
