About the Campaign

We are so pleased to have the opportunity to welcome Ken DoRosario into P.A.W.S. Preschool at Wellesley Schools in Wellesley, MA. Ken is a Board Certified Music Therapist with an MA in Expressive Arts Therapy with a specialization in Music Therapy. He is also a Massachusetts Licensed Mental Health Counselor. Ken is passionate about his work and says that his job as a music therapist is “the most exciting and rewarding job imaginable.”

The students at P.A.W.S. adore Ken and get very excited when he visits the school. As educators, we love to see children so pleased to engage in an activity that we know is so beneficial for them. Research has shown that music can be used to teach and improve speech and language. Popular songs are often used to teach children, like the alphabet song for learning the letters of the alphabet. Playing an instrument can provide a sense of self-esteem, as well as develops fine motor coordination. And, listening to music helps to develop the brain.

Most importantly, it’s fun and our children truly love the time they get to spend with Ken the Music Man. Please help us fund Ken’s salary for the 2016-2017 academic year.
